December, 2000

New Mexico and the southwest always seems to have a very busy fall schedule, whether it's oil and gas-related meetings or fun events. The next PTTC event will be in September at the Rocky Mountain Section AAPG  meeting in Albuquerque. This meeting runs from Sept. 17-20th. We will be sponsoring and chairing the session on Fractured Reservoirs. September 27-28, 2000 sees an international conference on "Evaluation of Reservoir Wettability and Its Effect on Oil Recovery" here in Socorro. October starts with the NMOGA Annual Meeting, Oct. 1-3 in Santa Fe NM. Also on tap for October are the New Mexico Geological Society's Fall Field Trip, AAPG-EAGE International Research Conference on Carbonate Reservoir Characterization and Modeling for Enhanced Hydrocarbon Discovery and Recovery, October 1-5, Camino Real Hotel, El Paso, Texas, and the West Texas Geological Society's Annual Fall Symposium. The Southwest RLO is also participating in the Annual CO2 meeting in Midland in December, and we will be hosting a workshop up in Farmington in December. We will announce our 2001 meeting schedule soon.
