The Regional Review has a new look this month. We've altered the design to
make it simpler for people to view individual portions of the regional newsletters, or
they can still view the entire regions' letters as a single file. This was done in an
effort to help those with slower modem connections. When you go to the Permian or San Juan newsletter sections, you will now be given the option to
either view the whole file, or to view individual sections of interest. Tell us how you
like this change.
The Southwest PTTC has our first real workshop of the year coming up on
April 6 in Hobbs, NM. The title of the workshop is "Technology Updates for the
Permian Basin". We are featuring speakers who will provide updates on several of the
latest techniques in logging, fracture stimulation and design, and drilling.
Additionally, there will be a mini-workshop presented by the Texas PTTC on updates in
mud-logging technology. Some of the speakers will be presenting material at other regional
meetings, but will be covering different topics at this Hobbs meeting. It should be an
excellent workshop and we are hoping for a good turnout. The second workshop will follow
in May, at the Four Corners Oil and Gas Symposium, on the 9-11. The seminar is entitled
"Tight Gas Sand Infill Drilling Development (GRI)" and will be a half-day
meeting beginning Thursday morning the 11th at (Room 9012), San Juan College - Cost $
35.00
We have been doing a number of talks and on-site visits for the past two
months. We are encouraging people to try our electronic forms for C115 Production Data
Reporting and Electronic Filing. If you are interested, please contact Martha Cather
