Technology Transfer

The project team shall also plan and participate in the following list of activities to ensure technology transfer during the project.

  • A kick-off meeting to describe the project and obtain producer input will be held in Farmington within the first four months of the project.
  • Periodic presentations describing project progress will be made at local meetings of organizations such as the Four Corners Geological Society and the San Juan Basin Working Group.
  • At least two presentations will be made at larger regional society meetings in Denver, such as the meetings of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists or the Colorado Oil and Gas Association.
  • Technology transfer workshops thoroughly describing the product and providing training in its use will be held in Farmington and Denver in conjunction with the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) as the project matures. Professional trade journal articles, the PTTC national newsletter, and the PRRC's regional newsletter will be used to target the greater natural gas community.
  • Efforts will also be made to ensure that the project has high visibility in commonly-used web search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Alta Vista, and that peer reviewed papers and presentations give exposure of the work through SciSearch, GeoRef, and Petroleum Abstracts.
  • The team shall also present the final results at a meeting at NETL upon acceptance of the project deliverables.

DELIVERABLES

The project team shall produce the following deliverables that include:

  • The periodic, topical, and final reports as required by the "Federal Assistance Reporting Checklist" and the instructions accompanying the checklist.
