PETROPHYSICAL ANALYSIS AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR SAN JUAN BASIN TIGHT GAS RESERVOIRS

Feb. 16, 2006
9AM- noon

The NM PRRC has been funded for a 2-year project to collect and compile a variety of critical well information for Dakota and Mesaverde wells into a useful and user-friendly database producers can use to make better decisions on placement of infill wells, increase the rate of development, and improve the efficiency of recovering natural gas.

In this short, informative meeting we will explain more about this project and its goals. We'll talk about what kind of data we are collecting (and seeking more of!), and what kinds of analysis we plan on doing to add value to the information.

We need your help to make this a great product for San Juan Basin producers. One of the major goals of this meeting is to find out what operators find is useful, and what would be unimportant, and how best to present the resulting information and data.

At this meeting, we’ll also present preliminary results from a pilot project which has analyzed completion information for SJB Dakota wells. Using the power of modern data mining technologies, we are seeking to determine optimum completion practices for San Juan Basin wells.
