Minerals Field Institute |
The Colorado
School of Mines- Energy and Minerals Field Institute designs and
conducts programs to familiarize selected audiences with the
realities of resource development in the United States. The
Institute conducts two six-day field programs during the summer
months that take participants to mineral extraction sites,
processing facilities, impacted communities, and related resource
developments. Participants include key policymakers from the
federal government, state governments, the business community, the
media, and academe. The Institute also conducts regional
conferences and workshops on topical issues related to resource
