AAPG- Education Department American Association of Petroleum Geologists offers a large number of courses and field seminars, in addition to distinguished lecturers and their regular meetings. Many of these courses can be taken for continuing education credits.
Colorado School of Mines Colorado School of Mines has many different departments offering petroleum-related courses, including geophysics, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, geology, and geochemistry.
CSM Energy and Minerals Field Institute The Colorado School of Mines- Energy and Minerals Field Institute designs and conducts programs to familiarize selected audiences with the realities of resource development in the United States. The Institute conducts two six-day field programs during the summer months that take participants to mineral extraction sites, processing facilities, impacted communities, and related resource developments. Participants include key policymakers from the federal government, state governments, the business community, the media, and academe. The Institute also conducts regional conferences and workshops on topical issues related to resource development.

Permian Basin Graduate Center The Graduate Center is an independent, non-profit continuing education school. Chartered in 1967, the PBGC has been serving the educational needs of Midland and West Texas for 32 years. They offer many courses in petroleum engineering, geology, land management, accounting, and other petroleum industry-related needs.
Texas A&M Texas A&M offers undergraduate and graduate programs in geology, geophysics, petroleum engineering, geography and oceanography, among others.
